Mass Ride – 29th November 2015

Bespoke are helping to organise a mass cycle ride on Sunday 29th November 2015 to help raise awareness of climate change.

Cyclists and walkers can meet at 3:30pm by the Lifeboat Museum next to the Wish Tower Slopes, and we will proceed to ride and walk to Sovereign Harbour and back. Decorate your bike with lights so you really stand out.

Millies Cookies in Eastbourne’s Arndale Centre have created a fabulous giant cookie to advertise and support the cause.

Bespoke’s Felicity Goodson has composed a poem for the event.

Move for climate change action and
mount your bike, or walk the prom
meet at Wish Tower slopes 3.30 pm,
29th November to form a bright pack
to cycle part road, to Sovereign Harbour and back..
with fairy lights for glowing bikes
or lanterns for those stepping out,
to lift our spirits and light the way,
join millions mobilising that day
around the world, that hope and pray
world leaders meeting in Paris next day
make the move to modify,
heed the Pope, hear Bono’s cry
It’s carnage, banker Carney sees
to financial stability.
Arrest the mess of wasted hours
and days and years, here and now!

This event is part of the Global Climate March. On November 30th, world leaders meet in Paris to start negotiating the next global climate deal. That’s why, the day before, people around the world will take to the streets and push leaders at every level of government to commit to 100% clean energy. Together, we can push the world towards a climate deal that gets us off dirty energy and unleashes clean energy for all. Let’s make history.
