On Wednesday 18th November 2015, Cllr Blakebrough will propose a motion to Eastbourne Borough Council to request that East Sussex County Council delay the implementation of the seafront cycling route.
Eastbourne Borough Council requests that East Sussex County Council delays any decision to proceed with the implementation of a shared walking and cycling scheme on Eastbourne promenade until an integrated walking and cycling strategy is in place.
In 2014 East Sussex County Council consulted on the route, and it was supported or strongly supported by 73% of respondents.
The seafront cycle route has been under discussion for years and this motion would delay it further.
Yet again, we ask that you contact your local councillors and reiterate your support for the route.
