Bespoke has had a busy time at the recent Eastbourne Cycling Festival.
A very successful event, with activities for any age and level of cyclist, and showcasing Eastbourne to national racing cyclists and their supporters, as well as riders of vintage machines, including penny farthings.
We were delighted with the supportwe received from the public. We were also pleased to receive a prize in the Sunshine Carnival that same weekend.
We are working on plans for the Old Town Cycleway, linking schools and residential areas, bearing in mind the proposals to significantly expand schools in that area. Schools and parents alike are concerned about school run congestion and dangerous parking outside schools at peak times.
Bespoke are a free, non political group promoting safe cycling in Eastbourne. We encourage safe sensible cycling as a means of transport for all ages.
We use high visibility clothing, helmets, and lights. We work with the County and Borough Councils, the NHS, the railways, the Police, and other organisations.
We host Cycle East Sussex, bringing together all the cycle groups in East Sussex, to promote safe cycling across the county.
