Bespoke has launched a new version of Eastbourne’s Cycle and Leisure Map, which highlights the safest and easiest routes for anyone wanting get around town by bicycle. Dedicated cycle tracks that are fully separated from the traffic are shown in green. Where there are gaps in the network we have suggested routes along quieter, safer roads, which are coloured blue. The busiest, most dangerous roads – where caution is advised – are marked red. The revised map is the result of extensive discussion with East Sussex County Council to clarify the legal position on cycle access, including in and around Sovereign Harbour.
