Marine Parade in Eastbourne is blocked in both directions after a collision between a car and cyclist.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service arrived at the scene at 4.47pm, as the crew was passing by, and helped to direct traffic.
A fire service spokesman said the cyclist received first aid at the scene by paramedics, and police were called for traffic control.
