The long awaited Sovereign Harbour Community Centre moved another step closer tonight. Eastbourne Borough Council’s planning committee approved amended plans for the centre this evening.
Due to the location of the centre, cycling and walking access is a priority.
Bespoke had raised concerns with the original plans submitted. The centre opens onto National Cycle Route 21 but featured obstructed views. Following our intervention the designs were modified. The revised plans approved this evening improve visibility of cyclists and pedestrians. This should reduce conflict between users.
Congratulations on the hard work undertaken by the Sovereign Harbour Residents Association and others. This much needed community facility is now closer to becoming reality.
