The BBC Sussex Breakfast Show, hosted by Neil Pringle, covered cycling on Eastbourne promenade on Wednesday 8th July 2015.

In general, the opinion on the show seemed to be in favour of shared use (such as Worthing prom) rather than cycle lanes (such as Brighton prom). There is a repeat of the interview with the mother of the little girl who was hit by thugs riding illegally on the prom last year. Councillor Steve Wallis from Eastbourne Borough Council also gives Neil an overview of what the council is planning and why he hopes the route goes ahead.
