A few months ago a little girl was knocked over on Eastbourne seafront by a couple of yobs on cycles.
The two men involved apologised to the girl, Alliyah Raj, and her family after being arrested by the Police.
No further action was taken by the Police, but the case was passed to Eastbourne Borough Council who decided to prosecute George Coulbourn and Trent Baker for breach of the byelaw banning cycling on Eastbourne prom.
George Coulbourn pleaded guilty at Hastings Magistrates Court and was fined £135, along with the council’s costs of £80 and a victim surcharge of £20.
Trent Baker was also due to attend court but failed to attend. His hearing has now been adjourned to the 5th of December at Eastbourne Magistrates Court.
