An Eastbourne cyclist had to be airlifted to St George’s Hospital, London, suffering severe injures after being hit by a car on Saturday 25th October 2014.
The 46 year old cyclist was riding a grey Cannondale bike when a silver Renault Megane Scenic driven by a 38 year old man hit him at the junction of Carlisle Road and Granville Road in Meads.
The road was clsoed for over four hours while the emergency services were at the scene.
The cyclist is reported to be a serious by stable condition, and the car driver is unhurt.
