Police would like to speak with a man following an altercation with a female cyclist near Eastbourne Downs Golf Club at around 1pm on Sunday, 4 October.
The woman came off her bike and suffered cuts and bruises as she rode on the grass beside a bridle path between Butts Row and Jevington.
She described the man as white, in his early fifties with grey hair and was walking two dogs. He was wearing a black gillet with a Volvo Ocean Race logo on it, a white shirt and white trousers.
PC Kelly Purdie said: “We would like to speak with the man described by the female cyclist to help ascertain exactly what happened.
“He, and anyone else who saw what happened, can email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting reference 0897 of 04/10.”
