Cycling UK have announced their Top 100 Women In Cycling, and our co-founder Professor Scarlett McNally is on the list.
This what they have to say.
Professor Scarlett McNally is a surgeon, honorary professor, and cycling advocate. Cycling gave her freedom as a teenager and remains central to her life. As co-founder of ‘Bespoke’, Eastbourne’s cycle campaign group, she has championed active travel and policies to reduce ill health, road traffic injuries, and pollution. Professor McNally is also President of the Medical Women’s Federation.
After a serious illness, Scarlett used an electric bike to regain fitness for a stem cell transplant. She now works part-time in the NHS and travels to conferences by electric bike and train.
Well done Scarlett!
