Witnesses Needed After Child Cyclist Hit By Car In Langney

Police are seeking witnesses to a crash in Eastbourne involving a car and a child cyclist.

It occurred at the junction of Langney Rise and the entrance road to the Langney Shopping Centre, Eastbourne, at 12.50pm on Sunday 22nd May 2016.

An 11-year-old girl from Eastbourne was riding north on the pavement past the local service station when she and a blue Vauxhall Mokka car were in collision.

The girl sustained minor injuries for which she was treated at the Eastbourne District General Hospital before being allowed home.

The car driver, a 71-year-old man, also from Eastbourne, was unhurt.
